Product Care

Caring for your cotton products

BCI Cotton and Organic Cotton are both hand- and machine-washable. To prevent shrinkage, we recommend washing at 30°C. To prevent damage in the machine, we recommend washing delicate items with a washing bag. Cotton items can be hung to dry. To prevent shrinkage or damage, we recommend not tumble drying.

Caring for your linen products

Linen products require significantly less washing than other products. We recommend hanging the product to air dry after use and hand-washing in cold water. High temperatures will affect any existing dyes and reduce the quality of the yarn. Linen products can be hung to dry. To prevent shrinkage or damage, we recommend avoiding the dryer. If possible, avoid using thin wire hangers or clothespins for hanging. Otherwise, the product may become marked or misshapen. To prevent wrinkles on your linen products, you can use a steam iron on the inside.

Care of your knitwear and wool products

Knitwear and wool products require significantly less washing than other items. We recommend hanging the garment to air dry after use, washing it at 30°C and a low cycle, and using a special detergent specifically designed for wool. For heavy garments, we recommend removing excess water by hand without over-squeezing. Wool products should not be hung to dry. Instead, we recommend drying them on a flat surface with a towel underneath and storing them folded rather than hanging them. Otherwise, they may deform. Wool products can develop pilling due to friction, which can be removed with a special comb.
